Local businesses are invited to attend a free virtual jobs fair on Tuesday 22nd November 2022, 10am – 2pm to connect with local adults who have recently completed a Train4Tomorrow Skills Bootcamp.
Train4Tomorrow digital and technical Skills Bootcamps, delivered by Devon County Council, provide a solution to the region’s recruitment challenges by training employed, self-employed and unemployed adults in Devon and Cornwall.
The Skills Bootcamps offer free training, lasting up to 16 weeks, in areas such as digital marketing, IT, cyber security, software development, construction management, and more. Each Skills Bootcamp is specially designed to meet the needs of industry, fill in-demand skills gaps and support employment into growing sectors.
The latest cohort of 150+ learners currently completing their Skills Bootcamps will be joining the virtual jobs fair. At the event, they will hear from a host of inspiring speakers and can share their CVs with businesses to arrange potential future interviews.
Employers who register for the free event on 22nd November can hold a virtual table to showcase their organisation through a presentation or video, or have an informal chat with attendees about their business to promote vacancies and meet potential candidates.
The technical set-up for the virtual jobs fair is being delivered by Train4Tomorrow partner BIT Group, who will be managing the virtual event on the day.
Claire Coulston, Digital Skills Programme Coordinator at Train4Tomorrow, said: “Our virtual jobs fair is free and easy to attend from home or the office, acting as a vital next step in bringing fresh talent to employers across the South West.
“The Skills Bootcamps are designed to retrain and upskill adults seeking employment in sectors currently facing skills shortages. This jobs fair is a fantastic opportunity for businesses across the region to meet recently trained professionals looking for work.”
Mike Dieroff, CEO at BIT Group, said: “The Train4Tomorrow jobs fair offers an important opportunity for employers to source skilled and passionate learners. As a local employer, we have had great success securing candidates to meet our vacancies, and have several previous learners become vital members of our growing team.”
Employers can scout new talent by meeting skilled candidates at the virtual jobs fair this November.
