GB16 – Torbay Business Centre

The project will develop 11,367ft ² of new modern high quality small business studios and maker workspace across five units on the former Torquay Coach station on Lymington Road, adjacent to the Torbay Business Centre. The development will:

·               Create 38 new direct FTE jobs

·               Create 7.6 new indirect FTE jobs

·               Generate around £2.5M of GVA per year in the local economy

·               Create 29.6 FTE construction jobs

·               Contribute £7.87M to the construction sector

The development will regenerate a redundant brownfield site on the outskirts of Torquay town centre by addressing the lack of suitable workspace for expanding SMEs. It will accommodate expanding businesses by providing much needed grow-on space.
