Techstars Startup Weekend Plymouth – 15th 17th November

Plymouth Startup Weekend is back! Led by the University of Plymouth and part of the Techstars Startup Weekend movement, it is the place to meet like-minded, entrepreneurial individuals and be immersed in a weekend of creativity and collaboration.

This event is part of a series of Startup Weekends to be delivered by the University as part of iMayflower, a £6 million collaborative programme designed to build Plymouth’s creative industries and nurture creative people power across the city.

What happens at a Startup Weekend:

Day 1: Meet, pitch & team up

Day 2: Learn from mentors & get to work

Day 3: Present to the Judges

Plymouth Startup Weekend gives attendees the chance to team up, create a prototype, validate a business idea and receive feedback from experienced entrepreneurs and other professionals, all in one weekend!

During the event, business professionals from across the city will share their knowledge as judges and coaches from companies including Crowdfunder UK, digital product design and engineering studio Evident and Astley Media.

“Experiences like this have the power to transform peoples’ lives. In the coming years we will see significant investments being made into creative and cultural economic development across the city; we need to make that success work better for everyone in Plymouth.” – Rupert Lorraine, Development & Partnership Manager

We are always on the lookout for more coaches, judges and prizes. For more details visit the Plymouth Startup Weekend Event Page or follow @PlymouthStartup on Twitter/Facebook.

This event is part of the iMayflower project and has been supported by The Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport who fund the Cultural Development Fund which is administered by Arts Council England.
