CSW Group Awarded to Deliver Apprenticeship Support Services in Cornwall, Devon and Torbay

CSW Group will from this month be delivering the Apprenticeships Support and Knowledge for Schools (ASK) Programme in Cornwall, Devon and Torbay. CSW Group have been employed to support the delivery network of charity CXK, who in August were awarded the contract to deliver the ASK programme across the South region.

The 3 year contract with the National Apprenticeship Service and the Department for Education will focus on assisting schools with their statutory duty to provide impartial careers advice and guidance to young people by providing them with a bespoke package of comprehensive support and information about apprenticeships.

The ASK programme supports the government objective to improve awareness of apprenticeships, driving growth in applications, supporting progression, and increasing the engagement of young people, parents and teachers.

The ASK programme has historically been targeted at Years 10, 11, 12 and 13, and provides a variety of support including access to digital broadcasts, workshops and application support. From August 2019 the offer has expanded to include a specially tailored digital programme for younger people in Years 7, 8 and 9.

Fiona Reed, Operations Manager, CSW Group said:

“The ASK programme is designed to give schools, colleges and other educational establishments across England free access to high quality support to develop and transform how students think about apprenticeships. We’re excited to be able to support young people in Cornwall, Devon and Torbay with comprehensive sessions that really explore and open their eyes to the multitude of possibilities that apprenticeships can bring.”
