Love Digital 2.0

Location: We will be rolling out 5 x 5 day Love Digital workshops in 5 locations across the South West over the next few months (Minehead/ Torquay/ Plymouth/ Yeovil/ Barnstaple)

Love Digital is a free digital skills learning programme for women who are looking to advance their digital skills.

These 5 workshops are combined with 1-to-1 mentoring, to support women wanting to enhance their career opportunities.

The programme focuses on digital skills and helps women to become more confident with technology, including social media, digital marketing, and their own online presence. Love Digital is for women both in and out of current employment (but who are looking to continue or return to work).

The 5 half-day workshops will cover the following themes:

  • Your own aims and ambitions
  • Digital productivity tools to improve your efficiency (professional and personal)
  • video, multimedia and your online personal profile
  • website design and your digital reputation
  • and online safety and security.

NOTE: Please book on to all 5 sessions to complete the course.

The sessions are designed to be lighthearted, engaging and accessible. We want women to feel confident and supported to embrace digital skills in their careers. There will always be an opportunity to ask lots of questions and improve your knowledge.

CompTIA A+ is the industry standard for establishing a career in IT. CompTIA A+ 220-1001/1002 covers PC hardware and peripherals, mobile device hardware, networking and troubleshooting hardware and network connectivity issues, installing and configuring operating systems including Windows, iOS, Android, Apple OS X and Linux. It also addresses security, the fundamentals of cloud computing and operational procedures.

Please note – Learners are required to have a basic understanding of IT before undertaking this course.  Prior to enrolment, the provider will carry out an initial over-the-phone assessment with potential candidates to assess course suitability.

What do I need to know before I apply?

As a pilot project, we’re interested in gathering evidence on whether the project has supported learners to embark on or progress within digital careers. All Digital Momentum learners are required to participate in the evaluation of the pilot; sharing feedback with us (and our evaluation partner) on their Digital Momentum experience.
