New Social Enterprise Special Interest Group established

A new Special Interest Group (SIG) has been set up to provide advice and comment to the LEP board on issues that affect Social Enterprises..

The Social Enterprise SIG will:

  • share plans and updates from the LEP.
  • receive ideas and feedback from Social Enterprises on how the LEP can help.
  • discuss emerging issues and / or opportunities.

Social Enterprises are a key driver to sustainable economic growth.

The Heart of the South West area has one of the highest concentrations of social enterprises in the country and they are particularly well represented in the micro business sector that makes up the backbone of our rural economy.  They are also successful in driving growth.
