Transport Special Interest Group
Transport is key for enabling economic activity, as reflected in the LEP business plan. Government has recognised the important role that transport infrastructure can play in supporting growth, and is ensuring that LEPs have an influential role. The role of the LEP’s Transport Special Interest Group is to provide advice and comment to the LEP board on issues that affect social enterprises, it is not part of the LEP’s formal governence structure.
The Transport Special Interest Group will enable the wider business community to:
- input its views on transport priorities.
- help shape the LEP’s response to consultations on national and local policy.
- foster partnership working with key stakeholders and transport providers.
- help review performance against the LEP’s business plan objectives and targets.
