Low Carbon Special Interest Group
The role of the LEP’s Low Carbon Special Interest Group is to provide advice and comment to the LEP board on issues that affect social enterprises, it is not part of the LEP’s formal governence structure.
The issues of renewable energy generation and low carbon are key priorities for businesses throughout the area.
The Low Carbon Group will routinely meet to:
- review what initiatives there are in the region and assess where there may be opportunities for grouping of them to attract Government funding.
- nurture new programmes that need LEP support.
- work with existing renewable energy bodies in the region to ensure that there is no duplication of effort.
